Soraken is the only node that currently satisfies secure land title and has obtained physical planning approval, making it materially ahead of the other six nodes on the Corridor's own readiness criteria.
This evidentiary readiness, not simply the presence of a private proponent, is the basis on which the Bougainville Executive Council and the Bougainville Economic Corridor have designated Soraken as the priority anchor node for Bougainville's first Special Economic Zone.
